Have you ever use file sharing website such as rapidshare, megaupload or depositfiles . If yes, I am sure you already know how hard to manage your download. Hard to remember link and “un-browse able” content.
Luckily, a programmer name Alexander Shiryaev was kind to create a software, RapGet that really make downloading from these site easier. At first rapget was created main for downloading from rapidshare.de that was very popular a while ago. Using rapget, it can sniff direct download link so you can download the file using any download manager. Recently, all those website have upgrade so it is impossible to get the direct download link anymore.

Have you ever get this message? Recently while I got this message while visiting some Google site and Rapidshare. It is quite annoying. Here is step by step guide how to disable it.
1. Open internet options
If you are using Internet Explorer go to Tools Menu –> Internet Options
If you are using Maxthon like me go to Options Menu –> Internet Options
2. Internet Options window will popup, first click on Security tab then click on Custom level… as shown below.
3. Another window will pop up. Scroll down a bit and look for Display mixed content and click on the Enable radio box as shown below
4. After you click OK above one warning message will pop up, click Yes and close internet options windows.
You are done, you will never get the message again. If you want to see the message again just click Prompt again at the Display mixed content options.
Have you ever try download something at Megaupload ? Have you ever got message such as download slot for you country has full, please try again later. If you feel sick with that kind of message, try the method below.
Start Menu -> Run -> Regedit -> OK
In Registry Editor window:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]
Right click Post Platform -–> New -–> String Value -–> Type “Alexa Toolbar ”

Just like everyday, this morning I woke up and fire up my browser to read what hot news for today. Under tech category a found some news about Google Universal Search. I’m wondering what’s that ? After reading the article then I know that Google is launching new User Interface for its search engine. I open Google Reader and found some new post about that from Google Official Blog. Actually it is just a few hour since I go sleep, woke up, and everything already different. Here is quote from Google Official Blog.
With universal search, we’re attempting to break down the walls that traditionally separated our various search properties and integrate the vast amounts of information available into one simple set of search results.
Exited to know what’s really the different I open google website and start searching some random word. Here is some screen shot what I got from the search.
If you enter any keyword related to programming language you got the “code” tab. If there are matching book for your keyword you will also see books tab.
Finding place can be very fun with this new Universal Search. You got the image for the place you are looking for and the maps. Currently only big city and more to United State that have map. I try to search my place got no maps.
Here I try looking for my favorite celebrity Elisha Cuthbert. You got image so you know you are on the right direction.
Google also recognize movie title. Here I try looking for “Redline Movie” and google give me link to the trailer and the movie’s official website. As you can see from screen shot above google also being helpful to add “redline magazine” phrase if I am looking for it.
Here I search for my city. Only images, no maps. Google also announce their new Experimental Search, I will cover the feature of Experimental Search in the next post. Come back later.

I found very nice article written by Pat Quinn on sitepronews about google and its optimization. Here is some quote from the article.

In the article he also mention about the important to use your keyword from your title in your body. Google robot search for the relationship between your title and your body. You should you nearly all your keyword in your meta or your title in your body text. This can greatly improve your page rank. Pagerank is everything in Google, in Google official site they also mention pagerank is their heart in ranking website. It is very complicated and I think even more complicated from my life ;p.
What can I say the main points from the article is google love plain text. Its robot can’t read flash, so even your website is beautiful and full of flash effect or full flash it meaningless for Google robot crawler. They can’t find your link if it is in flash.

Well, while surfing I found this post about google apps UI (User Interface). Yes, maybe google apps such as Google Talk and Google Desktop Search don’t have beautiful UI but IMHO it is user friendly.
I can say that Google Desktop Search (GDS) didn’t have any window at all, all config/setting using browser interface. I love they way GDS can launch quick search but double tap ctrl key and it can give result instantaneously. It is just smart and beauty, I offen use that feature to launch my apps. I also have tried Windows Desktop Search but it is pain to open another window just to search few words. Windows Desktop Search (WDS) also like to force user to use windows component that is well know reduce system performance such as the indexing service.
Google Talk also another beauty, maybe it didn’t have so many function like Yahoo messenger or MSN Messenger but it didn’t BLOAT. YM have too many function and hug too much memory. Google Talk just simple, it meet the goal. You can talk to your friends, make call and send files, what else you need for IM. Function that I love the most in Google Talk are you can press tab to switch between multiple chat windows and the windows also can roll to title bar so it didn’t take much space.
Congratz Google, keep up good work. Oh, I also notice in this post, Larry Page, Google Co-Founder said “Our engineers all run Linux. It’s free. You can hack on it. It’s deep in our DNA”. Maybe that’s another reason Google apps UI weird
