This post is regarding Mark problem with setting up blog tool, Post2Blog. Previously I have written about Wordpress bug? Cant Accept “Wget” Word but it is completely different thing, I can use Post2Blog in normally. I just have problem with Wordpress or my web hosting? which looks like don’t like the word “wget”.
For Mark, this is few things worth check up in case you put it wrong.
- Blog Type - It is important to check the right blog, Wordpress in Mark case. If you are using Wordpress prior to 2.1 make you you select Wordpress Old Version because starting from version 2.2 Wordpress has change the way how you post with blog tools. If your blog hosted at Wordpress.com, make sure you select Wordpress.com from there.
Reference picture, click for full size. - Proxy Setting - Make sure you didn’t mistakenly tick for using proxy, if you are not really using one.

Today while migrating my blog off of WP.COM to a hosted account I fired up post2blog and it was able to connect to WP.COM w/o issue. I have not upgraded it nor have I modified the account info. Guess WP fixed some things in the new version. Now if they will just respect my privacy.
Which version of wordpress did you use Mark? Did you select the correct version in post2blog setting that I point out previously?
